The Republic Office of Criminal Investigations (or ROCI) was the division of the Galactic Republic's Judicial Department that managed subordinate law enforcement agencies and maintained the Republic Enforcement DataCore. ROCI sector coordinators oversaw regional judicial forces and liaised with local law enforcement to clear up potential jurisdictional issues. The ROCI also coordinated with the Jedi when they partook in official Republic investigations. The Republic Security Force and the Sector Rangers were both branches of the ROCI. Eventually, it was succeeded by the Imperial Office of Criminal Investigations.
