After learning of General Lens Reekeene's capture, Green squad set out to rescue her from the abandoned garrison on Flankers. The mission was a success, and Green squad escaped with Reekeene before a supernova could engulf the planet.
The battle[]
Green squad learned of General Lens Reekeene's capture by intercepting a communication sent to Iyuta from the captain of the scout ship that had ambushed her starfighter. Forced to divert to the abandoned Imperial garrison on Flankers, the captain required evacuation from the planet before it was destroyed by a supernova. A cruiser prepared to depart from Iyuta, but Green squad were able to leave first and beat them to Flankers.[1]
On Flankers, the Imperial captain had dug into the garrison to await rescue. When Green squad arrived in the Long Shot, he dispatched a single TIE starfighter to oppose them, along with whatever weaponry the base still had. Green squad defeated these obstacles and landed, infiltrating the garrison to find their commanding officer. As the supernova accelerated, Green squad were able to extract Reekeene and leave the star system just as the Imperial rescue cruiser arrived to promptly be destroyed by the star's destruction.[1]
