Return of the Jedi is a 1996 Mighty Chronicles illustrated adaptation of Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi and published by Chronicle Books
Differences from the film[]
- Although released to commemorate the Special Edition trilogy, the illustrations and story only depict the original 1983 version of the film. An example is the original beakless sarlacc.
- An illustration shows R2-D2 looking into Yoda's hut in the rain during Yoda's death. The illustrated scene was taken from the film The Empire Strikes Back, during the scene when Luke had dinner at Yoda's. In the film Return of the Jedi, Artoo was fixing Luke's X-wing during Yoda's death, and it was not raining.
- Anakin Skywalker's last words are "You already have, Luke."
- According to one illustration, when Leia admits to Han Solo that Luke is her brother, she hugs Han on the walkway in the Ewok village. In the film, the illustrated scene occurred earlier, after Luke departs Endor.
