Revwien coleslaw was served at the eatery known as Dex's Diner on the planet Coruscant prior to its destruction during the first two years of the Galactic Empire's reign. At the diner, the dish was offered as a lunch side, where it could be purchased for 2.7 credits. The coleslaw shared its name with the Revwiens, a species native to the planet Revyia.
Behind the scenes
- "I have a fondness for abandoned concepts, hence the inclusion of the donut droid as well as references to Revwiens, Adarians, apple slugs and even Kenner's Mongo Beefhead Tribesman."
- ―Gregory Walker
Revwien coleslaw was mentioned in "Dining at Dex's," a 2009 StarWars.com Hyperspace article written by Gregory Walker in the form of an in-universe menu. Walker mentioned Revwiens in the article due to a fondness for abandoned concepts; the Revwiens were intended to appear in the 1977 original trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, but the complexity of their costume forced the idea to be scrapped.

Notes and references
- The Last of the Jedi: Underworld states that Dex's Diner was destroyed by the Galactic Empire, and The Essential Reader's Companion places Underworld around 18 BBY. Since The New Essential Chronology states that the Empire was formed in 19 BBY, Dex's Diner was destroyed in either 19 BBY or 18 BBY.
