The Rian-327 airspeeder, sometimes referred to as a classic speeder, was an aerodynamic, classic-style airspeeder that saw use during the final years of the Galactic Republic on worlds such as Coruscant.
History[]
Padmé Amidala owned a Rian-327 airspeeder when she served as Senator of Naboo during the Clone Wars. The silver-and-red speeder featured tractor field seats, a rear anti-tracking device and a secret compartment ideal for hiding a blaster pistol. The speeder's engine was modified by her husband, Anakin Skywalker.
Senator Amidala's personal airspeeder was often piloted by Captain Typho. It happened when he brought the Senator, along with Ellé and Moteé, to his apartment on Coruscant, to the special landing platform where the Naboo Skiff docked for his fateful journey to Mustafar after the formation of the Galactic Empire.
