- "Here's where you can find the island all those thugs are using as a "base". If you find you have the time, go show them what happens to traitors!"
- ―A CorSec agent, to a spacer
The Rogue CorSec Base, also referred to as a Rogue CorSec encampment, or as Rogue Island, was a base located on an island on the Core world of Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Sometime prior to the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY, disgraced ex-CorSec officers claimed the deserted island with the old CorSec base as their headquarters for thuggery, extortion and wanton violence. The Rogues also used the base's defense capacities to fight their former associates at CorSec, who were constantly hunting them.
History[]
- "Or not. I've got some coordinates for the source of the remote signal. Go check it out. Be careful. I'd imagine you will be walking into the heart of their operations."
- ―Lieutenant Jasper, to a spacer

Another view of the Rogue CorSec base
Sometime following the Battle of Yavin, people campaigning across Corellia to support the Twi'lek politician Karin Featherlight discovered the cave. Featherlight later uploaded the coordinates of the Rogue CorSec base to a spacers datapad.[4] A loyal CorSec agent, angered by the Rogue CorSec betrayal, also tasked a spacer with locating the base and enacting vengeance against the traitors.[1]
In 1 ABY,[5] a spacer working for CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper infiltrated the base to find proof that the Rogue CorSec were behind a plot to overthrow Diktat Daclif Gallamby. The spacer then killed Hiram Bish and Mtara Vinram, the Rogue CorSec commanders who were responsible for the plot.[3]
The same year, Jabba the Hutt's henchman Bruce McBrain dispatched a spacer to the Rogue CorSec Base in order to retrieve the destruction code sequences of a CorSec Corellian Corvette.[6] In the meantime, a Rebel agent sent by Master Sergeant Crowley infiltrated the base to recover sensitive Imperial documents stolen by the Rogue CorSec.[7]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
