Rogue One: Recon A Star Wars 360 Experience is a 360 experience created by ILMxLAB and released by the telephone company Verizon. It acts as a prequel to the 2016 anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It was released on November 10, 2016.[1] The experience was concepted, written, and directed by John Knoll.[2]


"From the perspective of an X-Wing scout that just happens to come across the infamous Death Star along with another pilot. The two make a jump into dangerous territory and attempt to warn the rebels about what they find."


The video was created by ILMxLAB, and the two Rebel pilots are voiced by Sam Witwer and Emily O'Brien. The script and flightpath went through multiple iterations before the team decided on the final format.[2]
