Rogue One: Recon - A Star Wars 360 Experience is a 360-degree experience created by ILMxLAB and released in Verizon stores and on YouTube. It acts as a prequel to the 2016 anthology film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It was released on November 10, 2016.[1] The experience was concepted, written, and directed by John Knoll.[2]

Synopsis[]

Conflict, above all else, rules the galaxy. As an everyday X-wing pilot flying for the Rebellion, be immediately immersed in the vastness of space with only your R4 unit and wingman by your side. What starts as a routine mission for Mon Mothma takes a sharp turn as you stumble upon an unexpected Imperial presence — and something they will do anything to keep hidden.

The experience was created by ILMxLAB, and the two Rebel pilots are voiced by Sam Witwer and Emily O'Brien. The script and flightpath went through multiple iterations before the team decided on the final format.[2]
