The ronin motif of the character Ahsoka Tano was composed by Deana and Sean Kiner for the 2022 television series Tales of the Jedi, named for rōnin—masterless samurai—akin to Tano as a Force-Sensitive Outcast. The motif originated as an altered melody based on "Ahsoka's Theme" composed by their father, Kevin Kiner, for the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series which debuted in 2008. It features in the 2023 television series Ahsoka, in which a new variation that the composers call "a ronin groove."
