"Jedi business, go back to your drinks."
―Anakin Skywalker, to Rosha Vess and other clubgoers — 20?cb=20250116042720 ▶️ (file info)[2]

Rosha Vess was a Human female from the planet Coruscant who was a member of the Zealots of Psusan cult. In 22 BBY, she was inside the Outlander Club on Coruscant with her friends Nyrat Agira and Immi Danoo at the same time as bounty hunters Jango Fett and Zam Wesell. Shortly after, she drank and talked with her friends at the club when Wesell went into the club to hide from the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker. The trio watched as Wesell was disarmed by Kenobi.

Biography[]

Rosha Vess was a Human female native to[1] the planet[3] Coruscant. She[1] was friends with the Humans Nyrat Agira and Immi Danoo[4] and a member of the Zealots of Psusan,[1] a fast-growing[3] female-empowering[5] religion fashionable on Coruscant during the last years of the Galactic Republic.[6] In 22 BBY,[7] Vess and her friends were inside the Outlander Club,[8] a nightclub and gambling hall located in the Uscru Entertainment District of Coruscant,[9] at the same time as bounty hunters Jango Fett and Zam Wesell.[8]

Vess and Agira turn to look at Wesell and Kenobi.

During a night shortly after,[7] Vess and her friends were once again in the club, drinking and talking with another Human near the bar when the Jedi pair of Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker entered, searching for Zam Wesell.[2] The trio's fleeting attention was drawn[10] by Kenobi as he cut off Wesell's arm when she attempted to ambush him, turning to stare as he did so. Skywalker told the clubgoers to go back to their drinks and the Jedi left with Wesell.[2]

Personality and traits[]

Vess was friends with Nyrat Agira and Immi Danoo.[4] The cultist was ditzy,[4] had light skin, dark hair, and a tattoo of the Zealots of Psusan mark located on her abdomen, the same as Agira's tattoo.[1] The tattoo advertised her allegiance to the cult.[4] Vess was considered beautiful.[10]

Equipment[]

On the night she visited the Outlander Club[2] in 22 BBY,[11] she had on a black top with a high collar, a black skirt, and a pair of silver heels.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

"She has adopted the same type of midriff tattoo as Nyrat, advertising her allegiance to the Zealots of Psusan cult – or at least her willingness to accompany her friend to the body-art parlor."

Rosha Vess was created for the prequel trilogy film Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones,[2] which was released on May 16, 2002.[12] The Outlander Club scenes including Vess, who was portrayed by an uncredited extra,[2] were shot at Fox Studios, Sydney on July 17, 2000.[13] Prior to the film's release, the character was first pictured in the documentary "A Twinkle Beyond Pluto,"[14] released on July 31, 2001.[15] Vess then first appeared in an illustation in the young readers book Jango Fett: Bounty Hunter, written by Eric Arnold, illustrated by Valerie Reckert,[8] and released on April 23, 2002.[16] The image of her in the book was taken from the then upcoming film.[2]

Vess was first given a name on October 25, 2002, through the Image Attack feature on StarWars.com.[10] In the April 6, 2004,[17] article "Who's Who in the Outlander Club: It's Ladies' Night," published in the seventy-fifth issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine, author Daniel Wallace implies that Vess only has the tattoo due to her willingness to accompany Agira to get one. Wallace also describes Vess and her friends as the "intergalactic embodiment of the Valley Girl stereotype."[4]
