"You should be mindful of the Rak'qua Overlord."
E-5KL, to a spacer[1]

Rrynt'vor was a male Nautolan warrior who lived during the Galactic Civil War. After the Battle of Yavin, Overlord Rrynt'vor was the overseer of the Rak'qua, a tribe of bellicose Nautolan warriors that had taken control of Station Gamma, an asteroid-carved space station in the Bright Jewel system. Usually wearing a chitin armor, he led his men from his base deep down in the asteroid station. In the deepest cave, Rrynt'vor kept his pet, a giant carax named Ageaughu.[1] In 1 ABY,[2] a war erupted between the Rak'qua and the Car'das from neighboring Tansarii Point Station.[1] Nevertheless, Officer Antom Moria later discovered the involvement of a local arms dealer in the outbreak of the conflict and was finally able through negotiation to convince both parties that the war was meaningless.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

Rrynt'vor appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[4] Rrynt'vor was added to the game as part of the "New Player Tutorial," introduced with the release of the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[5] Rrynt'vor was not involved in any quest and was only briefly mentioned in few conversations.[1]

  2. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
