Ruati was a Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order during the last years of the Galactic Republic.[2] In 20 BBY,[1] Ruati was beheaded by an assassin on the planet Nauton IV. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi investigated his fellow Master's death and came to the conclusion that the Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress—whom Kenobi thought to be dead—was responsible for Ruati's murder.[2]

Ruati was first mentioned in Obsession 1, the first issue of the Star Wars: Obsession comic series, written by W. Haden Blackman and released on November 24, 2004 by Dark Horse Comics. In 2008, Ruati received an entry in The Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia.
