Plot summary[]
Rey is walking through the wreckage on a Star Destroyer on the planet Jakku. She realizes that the place is barely holding together and that she better find what she is looking for and get out quickly. Unbeknownst to her, she is being watched by Teedo. While exploring the corridors of the Star Destroyer, Rey finds several discarded metal objects and thinks that these should work perfectly. She finds another object latched to a generator and tries to remove it. Realizing that doing so would unsettle the structure, Rey abandons her efforts.
Before she can leave, Rey finds herself cornered by Teedo, who is armed with a JSP-14 pistol. Teedo demands that she surrender her salvaged objects at gunpoint, and Rey reluctantly gives the bag up. Teedo takes it and then sees the remaining object on the generator that Rey was unable to remove. Rey warns him, but Teedo greedily removes it, causing the structure to collapse. Rey avoids a falling beam and retrieves her bag. However, she sees that Teedo is trapped under a beam. After freeing him, she carries him on her shoulder as the Star Destroyer collapses around her.
Rey uses a rope to reach the hangar bay with Teedo. They slide out of the Star Destroyer just before the structure comes crashing down. After escaping, Teedo tries to reclaim Rey's bag, but Rey reminds him that she saved his life. He reluctantly gives the bag to her. While Teedo grumbles in his language, Rey responds that he is welcome and leaves on her speeder with her salvaged items.

- ↑ In this episode, Rey is visibly older than her appearance in The Rise of Kylo Ren 4, but it also takes place before she left Jakku in Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates The Force Awakens to 34 ABY, and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary places The Rise of Kylo Ren six years earlier. Therefore, this episode takes place between 28 and 34 ABY
