Ruten Pet Show

The Ruten Pet Show was an event held on the planet Ruten during the early years of the New Republic. It was instituted by sycophants attempting to curry favor with Imperial governor Bursthed; Bursthed had a love of exotic creatures and kept several as pets. Ostensibly an annual event, the pet show was hosted four times in eight months, with Bursthed's pets winning the first prize every time.
