"I'm right behind you, Chio… and the Empire is right behind me."
―Rone to Chio Fain, above Ryarten[src]
Ryarten

Chio Fain and Rone fly above Ryarten.

Ryarten was an astronomical object that appeared green from space.[1] Sometime by 2 BBY,[2] the slicers Chio Fain and Rone were pursued by TIE fighters of the Galactic Empire above Ryarten after they attempted to undertake a job that involved slicing into Imperial property. Rone was shot down and killed while attempting to distract the Imperial fighters, giving Fain a chance to escape into hyperspace.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Ryarten appeared in a flashback sequence in the comic Target Vader 4, written by Robbie Thompson, illustrated by Stefano Landini, and published by Marvel Comics[1] on October 9, 2019.[3]

Notes and referencesEdit

  1. 1.0 1.1 1.2 Target Vader 4
  2. Star Wars: Target Vader is set before Empire Ascendant 1, which in turn takes place before Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the events of The Empire Strikes Back to 3 ABY, meaning that the events of Target Vader 4 take place sometime during or before that year. The flashback sequence above Ryarten is set around five years before the events of the comic, meaning it must take place no later than 2 BBY.
