Ryn was a Rutian Twi'lek female who lived during the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. Near the end of the Cold War, Ryn worked on the Republic-aligned planet of Ord Mantell in the Bright Jewel system[2] of the Mid Rim.[3] On Ord Mantell, she worked in the Avilatan's Rest Cantina built within the Republic Army's stronghold, Fort Garnik. Her job consisted of selling jukebox tokens to allow customers to select music to be played. Ryn worked with at least one other Twi'lek behind the cantina's bar.[1]

Ryn was created for Star Wars: The Old Republic, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released by BioWare on December 20, 2011. She appears in the cantina on Ord Mantell, a Republic-only planet. She serves as a Cantina Vendor, selling jukebox tokens which allowed players to select one of five music tracks to be played in the cantina.[1]
