STAPs were a make of one-man hoverbike available during the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. Produced by Longspur and Alloi, the vehicles were silver in color, forming a T-shape with a small engine on each side as well as an extension for the pilot to stand on. The craft did not include any built in weaponry.[1]

STAPs first appeared in the 2011 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic, released by BioWare. The vehicle was given along with several other items to any players who brought the Digital edition of the game.[1]
