Sabaoth Squadron was a mercenary group of starfighter pilots that utilized private support starships[1] and custom-designed starfighters.[2] Active during the Separatist Crisis secessionist movement,[1] the squadron was allied with the Confederacy of Independent Systems and bolstered its orbital forces in engagements where droid starfighters were ineffective.[2] Sabaoth Squadron also served an instrumental role in the Confederacy's early efforts, while also participating in an engagement on the planet Geonosis, which led to the outbreak of the Clone Wars against the Galactic Republic assisted by the squadron.[1] However, despite its heavy losses at the First Battle of Geonosis, the mercenary group continued to live further into the war.[2]

Sabaoth Squadron was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Rise of the Separatists, a 2019 supplement to Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars roleplaying products.[1] They were originally created for the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first appeared in the 2002 video game Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter.[3]
