Saber 1,[2] also designated as Saber Leader,[3] was an Imperial Navy TIE/IN interceptor[2] manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems.[1] Saber 1 had the serial number 000004, and also bore a bloodstripe, representing a minimum of ten kills.[2] By 4 ABY,[4] Saber 1 was assigned to the Imperial 181st Imperial Fighter Wing's Saber Squadron. The interceptor was piloted by Baron Soontir Fel,[2] the leader of the 181st Imperial Fighter Wing.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
Saber 1 was created in 2000 for the Death Star II Limited expansion set of the Star Wars Customizable Card Game. Of note, the image used to represent Saber 1 is an edited version of[2] a TIE/IN interceptor production image.[6] In 2007, the Base Set of the Star Wars PocketModel TCG included Saber 1, giving it the alternate name of Saber Leader.[3]
