The Sacred Order of Ramulus,[2] also known as the Sacred Ramulus,[1] was a religious sect of worship amongst the Ithorian species of the planet Ithor. The Ottegan gunrunner Praster Ommlen left his life of crime behind in order to become a devotee of the sect, and around thirty years after the Battle of Endor, he spent time in the castle of the pirate Maz Kanata on the planet Takodana offering spiritual guidance to other criminals.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

"The Sacred Order of Ramulus is a peaceful sect! Your attack on our world is blasphemy! You'll fail, just like Vader did!"
―The Ottegan Leader speaks to Kylo Ren[2]

The Sacred Ramulus was first mentioned in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and released in 2015.[1] It appears in the non-canon video game, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, released in 2016. The game first identifies the organization as the Sacred Order of Ramulus, and includes a bonus mission regarding the Order.[2]

In the mission, Kylo Ren led a First Order attack on the peaceful Ottegan world of Arthon to interrogate the Ottegan Leader of the Sacred Order of Ramulus for knowledge of Lor San Tekka's whereabouts. While Resistance forces led by Gial Ackbar evacuated the Ottegan enclave, the First Order defeated its Resistance and Ottegan defenders, and Ren successfully extracted knowledge of San Tekka's location from the Ottegan Leader before leaving the Arthon settlement in ruins. As Kylo Ren and Captain Phasma fought their way towards him, the Ottegan Leader declared their attack on the peaceful sect of the Sacred Order blasphemy, and exclaimed that their efforts would fail just as Darth Vader did.[2]

In the 2021 non-canon video game LEGO Star Wars: Castaways, the Sacred Order of Ramulus had built the Observatory, an archive building containing the scholars' knowledge and wisdom of the entire galaxy. It was protected by the Island's guardian droid, TU-TOR.[3]
