- "Salient's resources, in whatever state we inherit them, are trivial against the necessity of sending a message to other systems in this sector that autonomy is at the pleasure of the Empire, and that that privilege can be revoked whenever the Emperor sees fit."
- ―Moff Wilhuff Tarkin
The Salient Campaign,[3] also known as the Battle of Salient[4] or as the campaign at Salient,[1] was a multi-week battle that took place in the Salient system[1] in 17 BBY.[2] Moff Wilhuff Tarkin led the Galactic Empire's military while Saw Gerrera's Partisans were led by a number of commanders, including Captain Has Obitt, led the rebeling factions on Salient's worlds, Salient I and Salient II.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- "Composed of six squadrons, Shadow Wing distinguished itself as an effective peacekeeping and security force during Separatist mop-up operations at Umbara and Salient."
- ―Yrica Quell, in Alphabet Squadron
The 2019 novel Alphabet Squadron includes a mention of a "Separatist mop up operation" at Salient.[5] As it had been so long since he had written the novel[6] and he did not normally keep notes about something so minor,[7] author Alexander Freed could not recall if he intended for the line to be a reference to the Salient Campaign seen in Catalyst: A Rogue One Novel[6] but speculated[7] that was a reasonable assumption.[6]

Your assumptions about Umbara and Salient seem reasonable, and my guess is that the Corporate Sector campaign wasn't referencing any specific continuity (other than the existence of the Corporate Sector!) (In response to: "@alexandermfreed.bsky.social good afternoon! I have a quick question about something in Alphabet Squadron. I assume those first 2 are the rebellion on Umbara mentioned in Luceno's Catalyst and the Salient Campaign seen in it? If so, what is the Corporate Sector Campaign a reference to, if anything?")"
