The Salissia system was an Outer Rim Territories star system.[1] It was the point of origin of the Human group known as Salissians.[3][2] By 19 BBY, the Salissia system lay outside the borders of space controlled by the Galactic Empire.[4]
Behind the scenes[]
The Salissia system was first mentioned in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Jason Fry and Daniel Wallace, which placed the system in grid square T-5.[5]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas, stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Salissians, which MedStar I: Battle Surgeons describes as Human, in relation to the Salissia system.
