- "Sandewar Mandewar. Leader of the Vex crusade, who—"
- ―"Lopset Yas" and Chelli Aphra
Sandewar Mandewar was an alleged alien who was depicted by[1] the notorious doctor and smuggler[2] Cornelius Evazan, who was posing as a shapeshifter named "Lopset Yas" using a pluripleq, a rare bioengineered creature.[3] While pretending to show off his shape-shifting abilities to the rogue archaeologist Chelli Aphra[1] around 3 ABY,[4] Evazan impersonated Mandewar, describing him as the leader of the Vex crusade before Aphra cut him off. Evazan's depiction of Mandewar had blue eyes, brown skin, and a nose with a darker hue.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Sandewar Mandewar appeared, through impersonation, in the comic Doctor Aphra (2016) 21, written by Si Spurrier, illustrated by Kev Walker, and published by Marvel Comics[1] on June 27, 2018.[5]

- ↑ The events of Doctor Aphra (2016) 21 takes place shortly before the events of issue 22 of the Star Wars: Doctor Aphra comic-book series. In the latter issue, Accresker Jail is decommissioned. Crimson Reign 3 states that Jeremoch Colton had been in the wreckage-prison for over three years when Madelin Sun visited him. Crimson Reign 3 also states that he was imprisoned after the capture of the Tantive IV, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 0 BBY. Since Accresker Jail is decommissioned prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, which Galactic Atlas dates to 3 ABY, Doctor Aphra 23 must take place in 3 ABY, and the events of Doctor Aphra 21 have to have occurred around that year.
