The Sanity Skip was a hyperspace route located in the Outer Rim Territories that linked[1] the Kessel sector[2] planet[6] Kessel with[1] the Oseon system,[3] which was located within the region known as the Centrality.[1] Kessel acted as a junction from the Sanity Skip on to both the Kessel Run[4] and Pabol Sleheyron trade routes.[5]

By 10 BBY,[7] the pirate queen Maz Kanata marked the Sanity Skip as one of the "real" trade routes to be used by smugglers, as opposed to the official routes, on a map that she included in the book known as the Smuggler's Guide.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

The Sanity Skip was first mentioned in Star Wars: Smuggler's Guide, a reference book written by Daniel Wallace and released in 2018.[1]
