Sapir tea was a variety of tea available during the time of the Galactic Republic. Made from the leaves of the sapir plant, the beverage was green in color and had a rich, aromatic smell. It was a favorite of the Human Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn.[1] In 39 BBY,[2] after the death of Jinn's dear friend and fellow Jedi Tahl, Jinn's Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi brought him sapir tea early every morning during their stay in the Jedi Temple on the Republic capital of Coruscant as a way to console him.[1]
