Sarkhai was a Mid Rim planet covered with forests[1] where Force-sensitives were uncommon.[2] It belonged to the Galactic Republic.[1] Senator Tobas Grell and his daughter Nadia were native to Sarkhai.[2] Around the time of the Cold War, Sarkhai was ruled by the King Sethun and his wife, the Queen Nyscha. The planet was one of the members of a secessionist militant group called the Rift Alliance. Although unlike most members, Sarkhai only joined out of curiosity and had no particular reason to secede from the Republic.
