Biography[]

Saucer-Head-Vandor

Saucer Head was a sabacc dealer during the Imperial Era

Around 10 BBY, Saucer Head[3] was a sabacc dealer at The Lodge on Vandor. He dealt the cards for the famed smuggler Lando Calrissian's game, where he was beating all the other players at the table. The outlaw Han Solo later joined the game and took the seat next to Saucer Head. He began winning every round after he and Calrissian betted their starships. During the game, Saucer Head took notice of fellow players Susaut Volupicite and Karjj, who sat next to him while losing the game to the smuggler. Calrissian ultimately won the game by cheating, keeping his prized YT-1300 light freighter, the Millennium Falcon, with him.[4]

Personality and traits[]

Saucer Head was a male sabacc dealer who could speak Cynogan.[4]

Skills and abilities[]

In Calrissian and Solo's sabacc game, Saucer Head shuffled the cards around the table with ease.[4]

Equipment[]

Saucer Head wore a round, red hat and a breathing mask that obscured his face. He also wore a black poncho and black gloves.[4]

Saucer Head made his first appearance in the 2018 Star Wars Anthology film Solo: A Star Wars Story, played by an uncredited actor.[4] Magician Steven Bridges later confirmed that he played the dealer in the film.[5] He was first named on a card in the 2018 Topps Solo: A Star Wars Story trading card set released by The Topps Company, Inc. in 2018.[3]

Saucer Head was designed for Solo by Jake Lunt Davies.[6] His design served as a potential design for Enfys Nest, but was later repurposed into the sabacc dealer seen in the film, with leather replacing the bone mask.[2]

Saucer Head's costume was later reused in the 2019 television show The Mandalorian.[6]
