Savareen Whist was a card game for two partnerships of two players, in which each team tried to take as many tricks from the other as they could. To comment on cards, whether by talking or signalling, was not allowed. A fast-moving game, it rested on both the memory and the compatibility of the partners.[1] It was played in casinos, like in the Canto Casino from the coastal city of Canto Bight on Cantonica.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Savareen Whist was created for the 1993 Star Wars Legends RPG supplement Galaxy Guide 9: Fragments from the Rim by authors Simon Smith and Eric S. Trautmann. It was brought into canon with the short story The Ride, written by John Jackson Miller for the 2017 collection Canto Bight.
