The Scarlet Thranta was a CR90 corvette of the Galactic Republic Judicial Forces.
History[]
During the Separatist Crisis, it was commanded by Captain Zozridor Slayke and had a crew of 150.
Shortly before the start of the Clone Wars, the Scarlet Thranta was assigned to patrol the Sluis sector, near the Confederacy of Independent Systems space. Angered by the Galactic Senate's unwillingness to act, Slayke went rogue, and the Scarlet Thranta entered the Expansion Region with intentions of waging a private war against the Confederacy.
Although no battles were reported before the start of the Clone Wars, a 45,000 credit bounty was placed on his head by the leaders of Sluis Van, and a Judicial Department task force under Nejaa Halcyon was dispatched to recapture the vessel. Slayke took the Thranta to Bpfassh and disabled it. While Halcyon and his men were attempting to capture Slayke, he and his crew stole Halcyon's Plooriod Bodkin and fled, leaving their would-be captors stranded on Bpfassh.
Captain Slayke's ship was named for the flying thranta.
