Sciuridi was a rodent-like species on the planet Tenoo.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
- "When I designed the Sciuridi, I brought in elements of squirrels, sea otters and blue-footed boobies, just for good measure. This little fella was pure bliss to create and remains one of my favorites from season 1!"
- ―Steph Laberis
Sciuridi, albeit unidentified, first appeared in "Charhound Chase," the first part of the fourteenth episode of the first season of the Disney+ and Disney Junior animated series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures,[4] which aired on November 8, 2023.[5] It was later identified in "A New Discovery," the second part of the second episode of the series' second season.[1] The illustrator Steph Laberis was responsible for the design of the species. According to Laberis, the design of the species drew inspiration from squirrels, sea otters, and the blue-footed boobies.[3]

When I designed the Sciuridi, I brought in elements of squirrels, sea otters and blue-footed boobies, just for good measure.
