A scutjumper was a nocturnal creature which scavenged on the planet Taris.

Scutjumpers foraged for insects amid the wreckage of the planet Taris. They had a scurrying gait, and made snorts and clicking noises while hunting. They typically came out at night, and hid during daylight hours.[1]
