The Second Isobian Revolution occurred[2] by 19 BBY[1] during the reign of the Galactic Republic and was led by the Republic political figure Kehal Kehouris, who aimed to overthrow the noble families of his homeworld. As a result, Kehouris spent the rest of his life in an oubliette, where he scratched treatises into its walls, and he was regarded with disfavor in parts of the galaxy. During her youth, the Chandrilan Mon Mothma was enraptured by Kehouris' ardent and violent anti-royalism.[2]
Around 19 BBY,[1] after the Republic was reorganized into the Galactic Empire, Mothma, by then a senator, was detained and interrogated by Imperial security officers on the planet Coruscant. While detained, Mothma reflected on several Republic political figures she believed were wrongly imprisoned, including Kehouris, and thought of the Second Isobian Revolution.[2]
