Senior senator was a term used to refer to long-term members of the New Republic Senate. Proper senatorial protocol required the junior senator to call upon the senior senator. Senior senators also chaired committee meetings and took part in military inspections. Some known senior senators included Leia Organa, Tai-Lin Garr,[2] and Erudo Ro-Kiintor.[3]
