- "Over there is our Sensory Gymnasium."
- ―A hotelier to Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa guests
The Sensory Gymnasium was a facility located in[1] Skull Ridge Mountain Hotel & Spa[2] on the planet Lanupa during the New Republic Era.[1]
A former pirate world, Lanupa was visited by pirate Jod Na Nawood[1] around 9 ABY.[3] Accompanied by four younglings,[1] the man[4] was shown around the hotel by its director, who pointed at the Sensory Gymnasium from afar. Unbeknownst to the hotelier, the guests were after Captain Rennod's Lair, located somewhere within the hotel. As Jod and the children devised their operational plan in a suite later on, the man suggested that[1] the girl[5] KB penetrate the Sensory Gymnasium after[1] she refused to go to the spa. Finally, however, none of the off-worlders went to the Gymnasium due to task-distrubution issues.[5]
Behind the scenes[]
The Sensory Gymnasium was first mentioned in "You Have a Lot to Learn About Pirates," the fifth episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,[1] aired on December 24, 2024.[6]

- ↑ Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" of The Mandalorian Season One to 9 ABY. In addition,
"A Certain Point of View" — Star Wars Insider 228 also dates "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" to nine years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, which corresponds to 9 ABY per Timelines. "Part Seven: Dreams and Madness" takes place after the conflict on Mandalore, which is the main event depicted in "Chapter 23: The Spies" and "Chapter 24: The Return," the final two episodes of The Mandalorian Season Three. Therefore, Seasons One through Three of Star Wars: The Mandalorian must all be set in 9 ABY as well.
SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew takes place in the same timeframe as Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Star Wars: Ahsoka—the latter of which can also be dated to 9 ABY following the reasoning here. As such, Skeleton Crew must take place around 9 ABY as well.
