Sev'rance Tann was a Dark Acolyte in the service of Count Dooku and the Confederacy of Independent Systems' military. During the opening battle of what would become the galaxy-spanning Clone Wars in 22 BBY, Tann was one of several Dark Acolytes present on the Separatist capital planet Geonosis in the Outer Rim Territories, where the Galactic Republic's newly established Grand Army of clone troopers clashed with the might of the Separatist Droid Army.

With the battle turning against the Confederacy as the clones pushed back the Separatist lines, Dooku decided to flee aboard a Flitknot Speeder Bike to reach a hidden hangar that contained his personal solar sailer. Tann and another Dark Acolyte covered Dooku's escape path, with two Geonosian starfighters also escorting the count. While Dooku's hangar was discovered and attacked by Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, and Yoda, he ultimately escaped Geonosis aboard his solar sailer.

Sev'rance Tann made her debut in the Star Wars Legends continuity.

Sev'rance Tann was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon within the English edition of the encyclopedia "Prologue to the Clone Wars and the First Battle of Geonosis," which was released in 2023 as part of the Fanhome Star Wars Encyclopedia line.

Sev'rance Tann originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity and made her debut in Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds: Clone Campaigns, a 2002 expansion for the 2001 Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds video game. In the game, Tann was depicted as a Force-sensitive Chiss female who joined Count Dooku's Confederacy of Independent Systems as a Dark Acolyte before being slain by Jedi Master Echuu Shen-Jon a month into the Clone Wars.
