Sevari Flashpistols were used and manufactured by the Sevari on Sevarcos II where ordinary blaster weapons were less effective, and sometimes even prone to power pack detonations, due to the flying sand particles that would become electrically charged during the violent sand storms of Sevarcos II.[1]
Flashpistols were perfected by the clans of the Northern Frontier. They were muzzle-loaded projectile weapons firing rounded metal bullets via a charge of explosive powder. After one shot, the pistol would have to be reloaded, although two- and four-barrel versions of it were known to exists. Some versions would also have a cutlass blade placed underneath the barrel for close combat purposes.[1]
The Twi'lek Koh'shak carried a pair of Sevari Flashpistols.[2]
