Sevran Tarkin was a human[1] female[2] who was an important[4] member of the Tarkin family during the High Republic Era.[1] In 230 BBY,[5] she was on a diplomatic mission to Starlight Beacon when[2] the space station[5] was destroyed by the Nihil pirates, eventually becoming a prisoner of the Nihil aboard the Korvix Vorn prison ship. As she had gone missing, she was legally declared dead on the planet Eriadu.[2] One day, Sevran and numerous other prisoners were brought to an open area to test which of them was a Jedi in hiding.[3]
In captivity[3] and after securing freedom,[6] Sevran wore a mask. As a prisoner, Sevran wore a tan prison jumpsuit. Sevran also had light skin and black hair tied back in a hairbun.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Sevran Tarkin first appeared, albeit unidentified, in the fourth issue of the 2023 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures. The issue was written by Daniel José Older, illustrated by Elisa Romboli, and published by Dark Horse Comics as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[3] Phase III on March 13, 2024.[7] On Twitter, Older confirmed the character's gender.[8] The character later appeared in the series' sixth issue—which was written by Older and published[6] on May 29 of the same year[9]—where she was identified as Sevran.[6]
