Jedi Knight Sharad Hett used this lightsaber during his career as a Jedi Knight, and it remained at his side in his self-imposed exile on Tatooine. A'Yark recalled the blade being green,[2] but the blade was red during Sharad's time as a warlord.[1]
When a report reached the Jedi Temple in 32 BBY of a Tusken Raider using a lightsaber while leading a massive Tusken war band, the saber correlated to a historical holorecording of Hett. Due to his fame, it was instantly recognizable to many Jedi including Grand Master Yoda and Eeth Koth, who had trained him. It was this clue that led the Jedi to identify the man wielding it as Hett himself.[1]
He used it to duel fallen Jedi Aurra Sing in 32 BBY and before becoming one with the Force, after she stabbed him in the chest, Hett gave his lightsaber to his son, A'Sharad Hett,[1] who would wield it throughout the Clone Wars.[3][4] However, decades later, A'Sharad pledged himself to the Sith and became Darth Krayt. It is unknown if the weapon was still in his possession at that time.[5]
