Sharb was a planet located in the Sharb system of the Unknown Regions' Chiss Space. The hyperlane known as the Path of the Houses linked it to the Noris and Ornfra systems. An outlying colony of the sentient Chiss species, Sharb was home to one of the Ruling Families that ruled over the Chiss Ascendancy, the government of the Chiss.[1]
At some point by 28 ABY, the Ruling Family of Sharb employed hives of the sentient Killiks as a work force. As a result, the Family fell out of power that year and became a casualty of a civil conflict against rival Ruling Families over the former's continued reliance on the Killiks.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Sharb was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square F-8.[1]
