Shatterpoint was a Force ability that can be used to sense the significance of an event,^[1] though it also referred to key moments where actions could change events. Jedi Master Mace Windu had the ability to detect shatterpoints.^[2] While speaking with Anakin Skywalker, Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine suggested that Windu's lack of empathy may be his shatterpoint.^[3] Maul was involved with a shatterpoint on Malachor during the Imperial Era.^[4] When the shuttle Tydirium landed on the Sanctuary Moon, Darth Sidious sensed someone on board that was a shatterpoint and would have a great role in the course of fate.^[1]
