The She'ar were a sub-group of the Nihil pirate organization who were devotees of the Eye of the Nihil, Marchion Ro.[1] Sometime between 231 BBY and 230 BBY,[3] Ro chose seven of the Nihil's best warriors to form the She'ar, telling them a story about the storm planet Everon, the homeworld his species, the Evereni, to explain the name. He then took the She'ar on a mission to the mysterious Planet X to retrieve members of the Nameless species to use against the Jedi Order. Afterward, the group attended to him frequently[1] and were with him on Hetzal Prime[2] in 229 BBY.[4] By that time, Arathab Fal had become a member of the She'ar.[2]
According to the Nihil spy Nan, after an assassination attempt resulted in the death of Fal, Ro began to see less value in the group.[5]
