Sheh Soahi was an astronomical object located within the Cassander sector,[1] a part of the Trans-Hydian Borderlands region. During the Cold War between the First Order,[2] the successor of the Galactic Empire,[3] and the Resistance,[2] a small military force created by the New Republic senator Leia Organa,[4] a group of pirates operating in the sector established their base of operations on Sheh Soahi.[2]

Around 34 ABY,[5] the Resistance learned that the First Order wanted to take control of the Cassander sector by supplying weapons to the local pirates. In response to the threat, the Resistance sent a group of bombers and starfighters to stop both the pirates and the First Order. After a battle on Mamkoda and a relief mission to Caraxl, Resistance spies learned that the pirate base was located on Sheh Soahi. Acting on that piece of intelligence, the Resistance starship group assaulted the base and destroyed it after an intense battle.[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Sheh Soahi was first mentioned in the 2017 canon replica journal book The Last Jedi: Bomber Command, written by Jason Fry.[2]

Notes and references[]

  1. 1.0 1.1 According The Last Jedi: Rose Tico: Resistance Fighter, the Resistance's missions against the Sheh Soahi's pirates took place in the Cassander sector. Since those missions included the battle of Sheh Soahi, according to The Last Jedi: Bomber Command, Sheh Soahi must therefore also be located in the Cassander sector.

  5. According to The Last Jedi: Bomber Command, the battle of Sheh Soahi took place shortly before the Atterra campaign. The Last Jedi: Cobalt Squadron indicates the Atterra campaign was concurrent with the events of Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens, which Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates to 34 ABY.
