The letter was the thirty-third letter of the Aurebesh alphabet. It was pronounced "shen", and had the value of /SH/. It is meant to be a single letter used for the SH sound, like, for example, Š in some Slavic languages or Ш in the Cyrillic alphabet. The "besh" in "Aurebesh" is thus spelled besh-esk-shen, rather than besh-esk-senth-herf.
Uses:
- Shen was a common and genderless name among humans. It could refer to:
- Shen - a male technician who boarded the Katana in 9 ABY
- Shen - a Dathomiri witch who fought the Nightsisters
- Shen Matale - the son and heir of Ahlan Matale of Dantooine
- Echuu Shen-Jon - a Jedi
