Biography[]
Trail of shadows[]
- "If you hadn't been following me, we wouldn't be in this mess!"
"And if you hadn't been sneaking around with criminals, no one would've had to follow you! We can do this all day." - ―Keefar Branto and Sian Holt
During the High Republic Era, the private detective known as Sian Holt occasionally played live music at Vaba Blanks Midnight Den, a nightclub in the Steebark District on the planet Coruscant, alongside a band.[1] By 231 BBY,[6] Holt partnered up with Keefar Branto, a reformed criminal who swore to right some of the many wrongs he had committed in the past. At the time of their partnership, Holt monitored Branto via a tracking device, as the latter was on probation. During a live performance at Vaba Blanks Midnight Den one night, Holt kept tabs on Branto after he met with the Narquois criminal Urk Panga while at the nightclub. After Branto and Panga left the club, Holt used the tracking device to follow Branto out into the Steebark District, in hopes of discovering what trouble her partner was involved in.[1]
Holt traced Branto and Panga to an alleyway, where the two met with a tall, cloaked figure. When Branto went to check on a noise just outside of the alley, he discovered Holt following him and Panga. Before Branto could explain himself to Holt, the two detectives quickly found that Panga and the cloaked figure had disappeared from the alley. As Holt and Branto went looking for the two missing criminals, Panga emerged from the depths of the alleyway and urged the detectives to run, before two blaster bolts shot through him from behind and killed him. The cloaked figure followed Panga from the shadows and revealed himself to be a Tarnab, wielding a blaster and firing at the two detectives who then attempted to flee. Branto was shot and killed by the Tarnab assailant while Holt was knocked down to the floor, her hand wounded by a blaster bolt. Before the Tarnab could strike again, Holt managed to reach for her blaster and fire back at her attacker before falling unconscious.[1]
