- "The Nightscreamer also allows installation of a side-car, which can be handy for carrying your slicer droid or transporting a trussed-up acquisition."
- ―Chentu Chek mentioned the side-car in Tools of the Trade, a chapter from the Bounty Hunters' Guild Handbook
A side-car was a device that could be installed on the 88-R Nightscreamer speeder bike. It increased the transport-space of the bike, allowing for cargo or an additional passenger.[1]
Sometime before the Battle of Yavin,[2] the bounty hunter veteran Chentu Chek mentioned the side-car in his description of the Nightscreamer in his chapter Tools of the Trade, which was published in the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook[3]

- ↑ The Bounty Hunter Code: From the Files of Boba Fett p.82 indicates that Dengar lived at the same time as Chek. Page 4 has an introduction written by Cradossk, who according to The New Essential Chronology, died c. 0 ABY. Therefore, the Bounty Hunters Guild Handbook must have been written sometime prior to 0 ABY, with Chek's section being a recent addition/revision to the book.
