- "Blessed be your going out from us."
- ―Sidrona Diath in Tusken
Sidrona Diath was elected Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic in 4,000 BBY. He was also a Jedi Master. A Human male, he was a native of Tatooine. His son was Dace Diath.
Biography
Diath would utter the immortal words "Koroght gaghgt Takt" in Tusken to the Jedi Council[1] before leaving the Jedi Temple to fight in the Great Sith War. The nearest Basic translation was "Blessed be your going out from us."[1]
Diath was killed in 3,997 BBY in the Battle of Basilisk and replaced as Supreme Chancellor by the time of the Great Sith War. His body was buried on Tatooine.
His final words were recalled thousands of years later by Jedi Master Eeth Koth during a discussion about the Jedi-turned-Tusken Sharad Hett.[1]
In 1 ABY, Diath's ancient grave site was defaced by an anti-Jedi group. Some of his history would be chronicled by Alakai Trotter.[2]
Behind the scenes
The PC game Star Wars: Rebellion mistakenly states that Sidrona Diath was killed by the Sith at the Battle of Basilisk.
