Silkthrower was a particularly large and dangerous webweaver that lived in the Etyyy region on Kashyyyk during the Galactic Civil War.
In 1 ABY, a hunter tracked down and killed Silkthrower to impress the Rodian hunter Sordaan Xris and earn the prestigious Trophy for Excellence in Hunting in Etyyy.
