"Sisters" is a comic story starring Asajj Ventress that was published in Age of Republic Special 1 on January 16, 2019.

Plot summary[]

"SISTERS"
After narrowly surviving Count Dooku's betrayal
and the destruction of her people by the Separatists,
the fearsome Asajj Ventress is forging a new path.
She may no longer be a dark apprentice
but she's as deadly and determined as ever....

In the streets of the Coruscant Underworld, Asajj Ventress met with a Devaronian bail bondsman, who reminds her that the Kalleran bounty she brought was supposed to be alive.

While awaiting her payment, she saw and immediately accepted a bounty posted by the Galactic Senate for former Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, wanted for terrorism and crimes against the Republic for the bombing of the Jedi Temple and the murder of multiple clone troopers. Although she initially did not believe that the young Padawan was capable of such offenses, she took the job anyway and hunted the Jedi, who was on the run from both the Order and the Grand Army of the Republic.

While hunting the fugitive Padawan, Ventress happened upon a Weequay thug assaulting a pair of Zygerrian sisters for their food. Ventress stepped in and quickly defeated the thug, severing his left arm in the process. As she departed, she bequeathed the Weequay's abandoned vibro-knife to the sisters.
