"A place of worship for some. To others, an engine of destruction."

A Sith temple on Malachor

Sith temples were pyramidal structures built by the Sith on many worlds across the galaxy. Dating back as far as the days of the Old Republic, numerous Sith temples were erected, including at least two on the Sith homeworld Moraband,[2] the one on the ravaged planet Malachor,[1][3] and a destroyed one on the volcanic world Mustafar with its grounds becoming the location of the fortress of Darth Vader.[4] At some point before 10 BBY, crime lord Dryden Vos plundered a Sith temple and obtained a slab of obsidian stone carved with hieroglyphs representing warding spells as well as a holocron.[5]
