"Only then can we guarantee the safe trade of credits for fuel between Malastare and Sivad."
―Padmé Amidala — (audio) Listen (file info)[1]

Sivad was an astronomical object located in the Mid Rim. As part of the Mid Rim Cooperation motion, introduced to the Senate of the Galactic Republic by Senator Padmé Amidala[1] in 28 BBY[2] as a way to provide aid to the planet Bromlarch, Sivad was to trade credits for fuel from the planet Malastare. The initial efforts of the motion's plans were successful, though one Sivadian pilot and their fighter were lost when a transportation convoy was attacked by pirates.[1]

Behind the scenes[]

Sivad was mentioned in the 2019 novel Queen's Shadow, written by E. K. Johnston.[1]
