During the Battle of Ryloth, a skirmish erupted[1] on the outskirts of Lessu City[3] when the 91st Mobile Reconnaissance Corps was attacked by the Separatist Droid Army. The attack cost the 91st at least one All Terrain Tactical Enforcer and, by Clone Commander Ponds' estimation, thirty-two clone troopers, including the command crews of three AT-TEs.[1] Ultimately, Windu's forces were decimated; over half of their number were wiped out in the attack.[3] With the losses sustained during the skirmish and with other Republic forces engaged elsewhere, Jedi General Mace Windu turned to the Twi'lek Resistance for aid ahead of the Battle of Lessu.[1]
